Leslie R. Heaton

Leslie R. Heaton resident of Cantonment, FL passed away on September 18, 2021 at the age of 81. Leslie was born in Alcoa, Tennessee on March 28, 1940. He was a faithful member of Gateway Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lenzie Ray Heaton and Bessie Ethel Anderson Heaton; step-father, Leonard Eidson; sister, Joyce H. Seeds; and brothers, Robert Sentell, Leon Sentell and Lenzie Ray Heaton, Jr.
Leslie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret J. Moser Heaton; children, Don (Faye) Heaton, Randy (Darla) Heaton, and Lisa (Lee) Percy; nine grandchildren, Laura, Heather, Sherri, Andy, Amanda, Michael, Micah, Brittni, and Heath; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Margaret Davis, Mamie McNutt and Virginia Miles; brother-in-law, Allen Seeds; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Nichols officiating. Burial to follow in Barrancas National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. prior to services.
