Laura Murl Kimmons went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 10, 2021, at the home of her daughter and son in law, Tonia (Tony) Wilson. Laura has lived a Christian life and has enjoyed life as a homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved going to yard sales and decorating. Her favorite color was red. She had a collection of various porcelain dolls. She loved to laugh and has always had a big heart and a sense of humor. She loved getting her hair done and going to church. She was “One of a Kind”. She loved the Brownsville Revival.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Mack Kimmons; father, William Benjamin Johnson; Mamie Lee Johnson and eight brothers and sisters.

Laura is survived by daughter, Tammy Lynn Gibson (Cookie); son, Marvin Earl Emmons, Jr. (Tonya); daughter, Tonia Renae Wilson (Tony); son, Clifton Eugene Emmons (Evelyn); son, James Leon Emmons (Deana); very special grandson, Tony Dewayne Emmons and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor Tim Floyd will be officiating.

Interment will be at Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Emmons, Tony Emmons, Quinton Emmons, Arnold Gilmore, Jackie Wayne Carnley, Kevin Carnley, Johnny Johnson and Jackie Johnson.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ethan Wilson.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is entrusted with arrangements.
