Christian Tyler Roye
September 8, 2021
Christian Tyler Roye, age 22, died August 27th in Biloxi, MS from a lifelong seizure disorder. It was his Big Grandmas’s birthday. His life had barely begun. He was the smartest man I’ve ever met. He could’ve ruled the world. He just wanted to be in it.
Born in Brewton Alabama, he attended TR Miller through 6th grade, he played football for Brewton starting at the age of five, and spoke of that time of his life with great happiness. He attended Gulf Breeze after that, and refused to play for their team, saying he would never be disloyal to Brewton…he never played football again. He graduated from Watford City High in North Dakota, where he still holds several weightlifting records, as well as the record for Standing Long Jump.
Trained as an X-Ray Tech for the oilfield, he loved the gym and bodybuilding was his passion. He loved to fish, watch Alabama football, and dominated League of Legends as a Diamond Ranked player. He was awaiting shoulder-graft surgery to get back to the field
He was preceded in death by his Big Grandma Laura Calhoun Hawthorne, Jay, FL, and his Nana and Pawpaw Jim and Lillian Roye, Flomaton , AL.
He left behind his parents, Mike Roye of Killdeer, ND and Sally Rowell of Biloxi, MS, and his Big Brother, Mikey Roye and Sister-in-Law Kielah LaFountaine, and two nieces, Royalty and Lillian Roye of Killdeer, ND. Grandparents Susan and Leon Cominsky of Baker, FL and Melvin Rowell of Jacksonville, FL. Aunts and Uncles, Kristi Rowell Macks and JR Macks, Jay, FL, Mathew Hanks, Flomaton, AL, Adam and Heather Rowell of Jacksonville, FL, Chris and Robin Wiggins, Jacksonville, FL, Jason and Doty Roye, Pensacola, FL, Brian and Lisa Roye, Mobile, AL, Chris and Kim Roye, Freeport, FL and Danielle and Tim Strickland, Foley, AL. And many cousins.
Memorial services were held at Jay Funeral Chapel, Jay, FL on Friday, September 3, 2021.
