James “Jim” Darrell Willis

May 16, 2021

James “Jim” Darrell Willis, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 28, 2021.  A native of Pensacola, Florida and graduate of Pensacola High School (1970) and Liberty Bible College (Bachelors of Divinity), Jim owned Accura Appraisal Alliance for 30 years and was the most tenured member of the Pensacola Board of Realtors until his retirement in 2020.  The dearly beloved Pastor of Pine Forest Baptist Church for 24 years, Jim faithfully taught and preached the King James Bible, holding forth the traditions and principles of the Faith.

Jim greatly enjoyed travelling with his wife Vicki, listening to Jim Reeves’ music, collecting baseball cards and comic books, and making up songs and jokes for his grandkids.

Jim is survived by his wife and sweetheart, Vicki Caytreece Willis (Wilson), stepdaughter Jennifer Cain (Naugle), and three grandchildren of his heart, John Blair (“54″), Aaron Sibbach (“Zona”), and Hannah Dalzell (“Hannie Bannie”) all of whom he loved as his own, nurturing them as a father in the Lord.  Jim’s passing was witnessed by his family who held his hands, prayed, sang “Victory in Jesus”, and recited the 23rd Psalm.  Jim passed at 7:07 p.m. on a Wednesday evening when he would have been preaching at mid-week prayer meeting.  No doubt, Jim heard the Lord Jesus Christ say, “Welcome, Thou good and faithful servant; enter into the Joy of the Lord”. Amen.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles John Willis and Irene “Polly” Willis (Murray) and a brother John Larry Willis.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Flomaton Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Jouben officiating.  Interment will follow at Little Escambia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Flomaton Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.

Pallbearers:  John Blair, David Joiner, Grey Linker, John May, Don Parker and Aaron Sibbach.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church’s missions fund.

The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to the 5th floor MICU Nursing Staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital for their compassionate care of our beloved husband, stepdad, and Papa Jim.
