Publix Opens The First Grocery Store In Beulah

The residents of the fast growing Beulah area now have a grocery store in their community.
The new Publix at Nine Mile Crossing opened Wednesday.
“We are excited to see the new Publix Supermarket open in District 1’s Beulah community today. We welcome them,” Escambia County District 1 Commissioner Jeff Bergosh said. “This shopping center — to include what will eventually be nine additional out parcels on the property with multiple restaurant and retail options for our area — will be a fantastic addition to the community.”
The 48,387 square-foot store features the standard departments for grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce as well as a full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy.
“We are very excited for the opening of our newest location in the Nine Mile Crossing Shopping Center. Publix Super Markets has a long and cherished history with the community of Pensacola, and we look forward to continuing to provide premier service and quality products our customers have grown accustom to,” said Chris Norberg, Publix Jacksonville Division community relations manager.

Thank you Publix! Your stores are great, always clean and have such a courteous staff. There are more people who are happy your in Beulah than those who are not.
nice store but i really do miss all those lovely and very old trees that used to be in that spot. why do they have to always remove more trees? can’t they use space that has already been cleared?

I have worked for Publix for almost three years. I work in Parrish store 1152 , we have another Publix maybe two miles away. These stores are both busy. Publix searches out areas , they know what there doing you will see.

I work for Publix and these stores are planned out several years in advance. 4 miles might seem silly, but the Pensacola metro area is growing like much of the Panhandle and it can support these stores regardless of how close they may be.
So glad to have this in our area. We live in Seminole Landing in Seminole, on the AL./FL. line and this now means we only have to drive 6-8 minutes to get groceries rather than 15. Thank you, Publix for realizing the market that exists here. We’re so happy to have you nearby. And for those naysayers who say it’s 4 miles away from another Publix, if they’ve done the traffic and demographic studies and know the market can support two stores, good for them to see the growth and act on it! American commerce at work.

the people complaining about a grocery store in Beulah are the same people who want low-income housing in the OLF-8 site next to NFCU.

Less then 6 miles away from the 9mile store. They picked this site because they expect Beulah to continue to grow over the coming years with all the homes being built. They just beat all their competitors to the punch.

Hey, does anyone know how far this location is from the other one down there at Nine Mile and Pine Forest?? I have heard a rumor that it may be something like 4 miles, but not sure. Asking for a friend.

Happy for the folks in Beulah who have a Publix 4 miles from this location. It would be nice to have a grocery store in Molino.

The store is 4 miles from the Pine Forest Publix.
Stopped in yesterday. They did an awesome job on the place. Sure, it’s day one but there were no lines and a ton of friendly associates helping out.
That spot will always be Tavern In the Country/Little G’s to me, but this is a welcome addition.

Great news right here…this will be a welcome addition to this area. To the ones COMPLAINING about it being in close proximity to the one at Pine Forest and 9 mile…so what. I’m pretty sure that the powers to be studied to location and the business that the other one does and decided to build here due to the population. For those out on this western end of the county it’s a welcome site and will be easier to get in and out vs having to try and get to the one …4 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. Also the additional restaurants and shops are another bright spot to an area that has nothing…thank you Publix for opening a store where it’s very much needed. Please don’t pay any attention to the “KARENS” that would complain if you gave them a million dollars…js

Only 4 miles from the Publix at Pine Forest and Nine Mile Road they acquired when they purchased Albertson’s all those years ago. Wonder if plans include keeping them both?
