Roy Wayne Dunn

Mr. Roy Wayne Dunn, age 68, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home in Mineola, Alabama.

Mr. Dunn was born in Atmore, AL, former resident of Davisville, FL and had resided in Mineola, AL for most of his life. He loved his family, fishing, being outdoors and staying in touch with his class mates. He was a kind humble man, which trusted in the Lord Jesus. He was a construction worker doing Iron Work and Carpentry and he was a race car builder and driver. He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Liz and Hilton “Cornbread” Davis and brother-in-law, Doyle Gregg.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Iris Jones Dunn of Mineola, AL; two sons, Chris (Miranda) Dunn of Mineola, AL and Randall (Haley) Reed of Atmore, AL; four grandchildren, Stephen Dunn, Ada Dunn, Liza Centers and Anna Reed; siblings, Joan (Bruce) Lang of Brandon, MS, Betty Gregg of Atmore, AL, Joyce Morgan of Hilham, TN, Thomas (Donna) Davis of Mineola, AL, Edward Davis of Davisville, FL, Betty McGhee Peacock of Poarch, AL and Johnny McGhee of Canoe, AL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Peavy officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mineola Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Bryant, Jerry Johnson, Curtis Williams, Holly Lundy, Richard Carraway and Thomas Amos.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Harvey Hill and Ronnie Lassiter.

Family will have a time of fellowship at the Mineola Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, immediately following graveside service.
