Maggie Izola Baker Henry Watson

February 23, 2021

In the dark and quiet hours of Monday morning, February 22, 2021, Maggie Izola Baker Henry Watson left the bonds of her earthly body and ascended to her heavenly home.

Maggie was 91 years of age at the time of her home-going. She was a woman of great strength and courage who loved the Lord with all her heart. She worked hard for her family and loved them all. She was also a great cook and could make a “mean” pound cake. She was taught to love the Lord as a child by her father and mother; Rev. & Mrs. Olin L. Baker.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Archie Henry and James Hugh Watson; sons, Kenneth Richard Henry and James Olin Watson; brothers, James, Dan and Terry Baker; and sisters, Voncile Pittman and Estelle Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Diane (Ronnie) Cotton; sons, Dan (Michelle) Henry and Michael Watson; grand-daughters, Tracy (David) Arner and Erica (Clif) Colley, Alexandria (Danny) Martin, and Brittanie Watson Banks; grandsons, Jason (Rebecca) Cotton, Eric Henry, Clint Henry, and Lance Stinson; great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jarrod, Anna, Haley, Leo, Shane, Cooper, and Breyannah; brothers, David and Bobby;  and many nieces and nephews, as well as, her fur baby, Annie.

Many thanks to all the personnel at Sandy Ridge Health & Rehabilitation who made our Mother’s last months more comfortable by their care and love.

Thank you to the Atwood’s and all the staff of Faith Chapel, as well as, Covenant Hospice.
