The best way to be safe is to assume
It is your neighborhood that tested
Positive..Give it a week or two and
    Will probably be a fact

“at the very least, give the town it’s located in. or the area if it’s not a reident of a town.”

Alabama won’t release that information. Florida does release the area. They for instance will say a case in Century. That person could be within the town of Century or 10 miles away but still in the Century zip code.
