Century Correctional Officer Assaulted By Inmate

A correctional officer was recently assaulted at Century Correctional Institution, according to information released Tuesday by the Florida Department of Corrections.
On December 7, inmate Deondre Jackson assaulted an officer by striking them in the abdomen area, according to the FDC.
“Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued,” the department said.
Jackson remains at Century CI, serving a five year and seven month sentence for a 2016 conviction for heroin and cocaine sales and a weapons violation from Palm Beach County.

OMG. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that situation…….yup, I imagine they did take him down……..My son is a Captain at a correctional facility..(soon to be Major)…Kudos to all of the Correctional Officers out there………I know I could not do this job,it takes a lot of courage………..
If assault a correctional officer, then they DOUBLE your sentence
Assault on staff used to get a automatic trip to another prison with a higher security level.
They used to do those things. Until the public thought it was inhumane to treat criminals like criminals.
