Rain Tonight; Freeze Warning And Wind Advisory Issued For Tuesday

There is a freeze warning in effect from 6 p.m. for Tuesday night and Wednesday morning with temperatures plunging into the 20s across the North Escambia area. A wind advisory is also in effect for Tuesday.

North winds of 10-20 mph gusting to 30 mph will push the wind chill into the teens.

Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Tonight: Rain, mainly after midnight. Low around 40. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain, mainly before 9am. Temperature falling to around 41 by 9am. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. North wind 5 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 54. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. East wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. North wind around 5 mph.
