Cantonment Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges After ‘Large Amount’ Of Child Porn Found On His Phone

[UPDATED] – A Cantonment man was arrested on child pornography charges after authorities executed a search warrant at his residence on Wednesday and found a “large amount” of child porn on his phone.
Matthew Christopher McClammy, 26, was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography with intent to promote. He remained in the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $150,000.
According to an arrest report, McClammy had in his possession more than 10 files containing photographs and videos depicting children that appeared to be between 8 and 13-years old engaged in sexual activity with adults and other children.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received a cybertip that child sexual abuse images were being obtained and shared via a Twitter account belonging to McClammy.
Investigators found McClammy at McDonald’s in Cantonment Wednesday morning and advised him to return to his residence in the 800 block of Jacks Branch Road for an interview. He voluntarily provided his phone to investigators, along with his passcode. He then voluntarily drove back to the residence where he was interviewed.
McClammy’s statements to investigators were redacted from the arrest report.
When investigators reviewed the direct messages on McClammy’s Twitter, they located messages that indicated possible sexual abuse between him and an underage girl, according to the ECSO.
A Homeland Security agent taking part in the search of the phone found a large amount of child pornography in the Dropbox application, the arrest report states. The phone was seized as evidence.

THETRUTH is correct…it is surprisingly easy to find unsecured/insufficiently secured WiFi routers and crack into them. Wardriving, the act of driving around searching for a unprotected gateway, happens more than you think. And anything searched for by the bad guy will show up in YOUR router’s logs.
Password protect those things with very secure passwords, create a whitelist of allowable MAC addresses and turn off your SSID broadcast to help protect yourself.
I’m glad they are catching these thugs but why don’t they catch the ones filming it and sending i out, They are the ones that need to be hung

THETRUTH..My 16yr old daughter was raped by a 23yr old and he took naked pics of my grandson and neither SRCS nor ECS did nothing about it…

I myself was arrested and had my house bombarded by Escambia County in 2005, for child porn. It never made it to social media. I was exonerated of all charges because it was determined that I wasn’t in possession of child porn. Someone had hacked my IP address and was downloading and uploading child porn. I have done an extensive study on child pornography. You would be in total disarray if you knew the billions of dollars made throughout the world on children. Especially the Mexican drug cartels. This isn’t a laughing matter and could ruin a person’s life. Granted, it’s wrong, but its been happening since the beginning of time and it’s never going to stop. I am retired and have dedicated my life in helping people with this sickness. It’s a disease no different than alcoholism, gays or drug abusers and sellers. It’s funny how I never hear anyone say “That guy was a sicko for selling drugs to a child”. Society has brain washed most people to believe it’s wrong. To us it is. I had one guy ask me why God put humans on earth. I told me to worship God and multiply. Then asked me why God gave a female her period. His answer: to multiply.
How old where any of you when you had sex? How old was your partner? In Florida, anything under 18 is considered child molestation by Florida’s standards. So does that make you a child molester? In the laws eyes, yes. Think before you speak and know the whole story. Innocent until proven guilty.
Why are so many (men, especially) psychologically arrested in their sexual development? It’s like they got stuck in their juvenile curiosity and experimentation. It seems many have not matured in other areas also. Rom. 1:31 and 2 Tim. 3:3 come to mind. So many need God to deliver them from this terrible “stronghold.”
Who needs the whole story? I’m pretty sure all this evidence didn’t just fall out of the sky all of a sudden they go to his house. @troubled You are part of the problem. We have got to quit coddling these sub humans and stop trying to “cure” them. There is only one “cure” for this type of behavior and it would free up some of the precious oxygen they are wasting.

Crime has always been in your neighborhood. Child pornography doesnt have a way of “ending well”. Ive never seen the police serve a warrant and search some and come back like heyy guys we rushed in and made a mistake he was able to explain all this..

I agree with troubled. All this unsolicited stuff that comes in over the internet makes your head spin. You can no longer answer your own telephone because of scammers, you look for a legitimate item on the internet and hundreds of shady offers come in over your cell…. everyone’s e mails, Facebook entries, etc. are monitored very carefully by lots of organizations, they know your political affiliation by your posts, etc. etc. – so please don’t argue that we cannot stop this if we wanted to. I am currently getting stupid videos from China – mostly humanitarian content – I did not ask for it – and I don’t want it!!
I am vehemently opposed to any kind of child molestation! If they can block Facebook accounts for all kinds of reasons , they can block all these websites – ok. New ones pop up – block again and then cut off communications with countries who produce this trash!
