Molino Man Charged With Choking His Son

October 20, 2019

A Molino man is facing a felony charge for allegedly choking his adult son.

Robert Alan Salter, Sr, age 56, was charged with felony battery by strangulation after he choked his son to the point which he “temporarily lost the ability to breathe,” according to an arrest report.

Deputies responded to his home after receiving a report that he was armed with a knife during a disturbance, but Salter had left the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

Salter was released from the Escambia County Jail on a $100 bond.
