Century Charter Review Committee To Get To Work Shaping Future Of Town
October 27, 2019
The Charter Review Committee will get to work Monday to begin shaping the future direction of the town.
The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday at town hall.
The 11-member committee is tasked with exploring the town charter – the document that establishes the town, outlines its powers and spells out how it should operate. The current Century charter has not been updated in almost 40 years.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

What would lead anyone to believe that this Town will adhere to any new charter, they blatantly ignore the old one at every turn. This charter committee only serves to take some of the attention away from all the corruption that exists within the town leadership.
There is no saving this town. You all need to just give it a rest and let it go and be absorbed by Escambia County. Beating a dead horse now…
I can already tell you what the shape of the future is for Century – corruption and incompetency.
Read the Charter in place now Look closely at things that are causing problems today and prepare to rewrite and correct. Please do not be influenced by present administration and put your best foot forward. If the fixes you change or put in and they do not work, can be changed at a later date. I believe all of these members to have a good head and can do the job. just saying
Ooh, the Sunshine Law. Maybe they could give the town council lessons on this.
My prayers go out to this group that they may be inspired to do the right thing.
The future of the town of Century rests upon your shoulders.
