I’ve driven by the old sign so many times after having wild beer bashes on the beach, I’d love to flip the switch on the new one. Might even be sober for that great honor!
Bet it won’t have the ‘Worlds Whitest Beaches” sign on the new one.
Dude, LED light show sign me up!
I’ve been in pensacola for 62 years I’ve seen it grow at first hand enjoyed going to the beach back when there were only a handful of people. Then to the chicken box drive in later and on to the ranch drive inn . good luck to everyone.
I’m a newer resident to Pensacola, having moved here as year and a half ago. I would enjoy the opportunity to participate in this community event, and thus really feel a part of Escambia C inounty.
There has always been so much excitement associated with the fish. I’ve lived here since 1963 and I have always look for the fish when it’s lit it is absolutely gorgeous! All that come love the Pensacola Beach fish. I have it in a painting ,shirt and Christmas ornament.
I moved here 2 years ago and have been in love with this city and it’s beach from the second I arrived. I recently had my first child here 1 year ago, and I couldn’t imagine her being born anywhere else! I would be so thrilled if she could switch the sign on!!
Why do you need to be an Escambia County resident when the sign is in Santa Rosa County? Just curious.
The sign was lit up last night so why do they say the winner will light it up for the first time?
As a child this was a sign that I understood We were getting closer to the beach! Lived in Guntersville Al. Beautiful

My family and I have been coming to Pensacola Beach for the last 35 years to watch your famous blue Angel show in July. This has become a family tradition and we do it every single year. We love the neon sign and do believe the new LED sign is going to be awesome along with the new bridge addition you have just completed. One day we would love to retire and live on Pensacola Beach.
I would love to flip the switch on the sign. I have lived in Pensacola for over 40 years. It would be an honor.

I am not a native. I have been vacationing in Pensacola since 1971. Moved here permanently in 1993 and live full time on the. We love the new sign and hope that it will be a beacon to all that come. “Thousands live where millions wish they could”.
