Freddie T. Amerson

Mrs. Freddie T. Amerson, 88 of Cantonment, FL, formally of Bratt, FL, passed away September 19, 2019, in Cantonment, FL. She was born on August 3, 1931, in White Springs, FL to the late Fred and Isabelle Roberts Tyre. She was a member of Pine Barren Baptist Church and donated a lot of her time visiting and ministering in local nursing homes. She worked at Vanity Fair; she was a restaurant worker then later retired as a school bus driver for Escambia Co. Florida School District. She loved her family and enjoyed sharing the plan of salvation with her family and friends so one day they can see her again in heaven.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Martin Vanis Rosier; and a brother, Raymond Cecil Tyre.

She is survived by her children, Cliff Amerson of Bratt, FL; Margaret (Sambo) Garrett of Bay Springs, FL; Gwen (David) Johnson of Cantonment, FL and Becky (Tim) Drone of Milton, FL; two sisters, Vivian (Gene) Vogan of Crescent City, FL and Delores Sowan of Buford, GA; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday September 23, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. in Bratt-Godwin Cemetery with Bro. Mike Harper officiating.

Interment will follow in Bratt-Godwin Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Monday, September 23, 2019, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

    To the family of mrs Freddie Amerson , I am so sorry to hear about your mother she was my bus driver for years an lived not far from me . She was the sweetest lady I know she always did for others , if I had of known I would of been there but I didn’t. I was just wondering about her few weeks ago but had no idea how to find out about her. I’m so sorry for your loss y’all are in my thoughts an prayers.
