Cantonment Man Sentenced To Prison For Meth, Other Drug Charges
September 3, 2019
A Cantonment man is headed to prison after being convicted on multiple drug charges.
Michael Anthony Hare, 47, was sentenced to 30 months in state prison for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver within 1,000 feet of a church, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia .
In May, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and SWAT team executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Mintz Lane as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
In Hare’s bedroom, deputies located a quantity of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe with methamphetamine residue, marijuana, a grinder with marijuana residue and other drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report.
The residence is located about 200 feet from the Church of the Living God on Pace Parkway.

If there is any good in this man it has been poisoned by the drugs, and he is poisoning others by peddling the crap. All involved have made their choices with him being at the root cause. He’s a druggie/ drug dealer both stupid decisions, both his own he broke the law, he’s going to prison
Oh Yeah, He is a good person. I KNOW his next door neighbor who works with me and he has been telling us how good he is for the past few years now. He is a DRUGGIE and always on dope and selling dope. Not sure why Charles thinks he is a good person unless Charles was purchasing his dope from this loser. Get a life, quit dope and life will get much better. He does not need to be around kids either because he will eventually get them to be one of his customers, just saying
There is a whole lot wrong with this old man he has 2 babys by a 19 year old girl that he allowed to do drugs while pregnant and there also in dcf care while his young girlfriend is still very addicted to meth sad hes got this young girl life messed up along with his Tony get it together stop the drugs and dealing them and stop messing with little girls and grow up.
I agree meth should be dealt with , however these laws concerning so many feet from a school or church is a bit much. He would have been busted for weed residue for not the meth, all over the mythic children that would be forever corrupted over an empty grinder, etc. . Concentrate on the real issues, and meth is a good start , but guarding phantom children from non existing threats is time wasting, not to mention money wasted.
@Dale s….. u are right about stricterm laws. But I feel like the laws need to be more concerned with REAL criminals, killers, and serious crimes. I thought I knew this fella, but I was not aware of that going on. He was always a strait up kinda guy, that I saw.. He is a good dude. And I hope he is out ASAP. He has kids that love him.!!
He is a good person. And a good friend . He was turn his life around for him and his kids just a little late. We all make stupid decisions that have bad consequences.
2 1/2 years is not long enough. He could be out in less than 2. We need stricter laws.
