Two Escambia Deputies Honored By MADD For DUI Enforcement

Escambia County Deputy Sam Shelley (pictured left) and Deputy William Henley were both recognized at the MADD Northwest Florida annual ceremony for DUI Enforcement.

Henley received the Century Award for making over 100 DUI arrests in Escambia County during 2018 and was a nominee in the individual category for Outstanding Dedication to DUI Enforcement.

Deputy Sam Shelley was an Outstanding Dedication to DUI Enforcement (Individual Category) nominee.

    Congratulations and Thank You for helping to reduce DUI driving.
    Heard another change-up for the MADD Mothers Against Distracted Driving and it was speaking to young drivers who text, have too many friends in the car and other distractions. Pleased to see that included too.

    Easy to find drivers under the influence, wish you could set up a check-point around some of the “Wine and Cheese Events” where some of the upper crust attend and get sloppy loaded then drive.
