Man Gets Jail Time For Stealing Car From Molino Restaurant Then Returning It
August 2, 2019
A man has been sentenced for stealing a car from a Molino restaurant before returning a short time later.
Tommy George Craig was sentenced to 11 months and 30 days in the county jail, with credit for 26 days served, for grand theft auto.
Witnesses told deputies they watched March 13 as Craig walked around the parking lot of Jimmy’s Grill on Highway 29 and then entered a vehicle. They said he pulled the vehicle from the back of the business to the front parking lot before returning back behind the business, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicle had been left unlocked with key fob on the center console.

Nick,
You can’t shoot someone for stealing your car.
All these folks talking about shooting someone are going to have a bad day in court and spend along time in jail one day.
Unless you are threatened and fear for your life, shooting someone is not justified. Learn the laws before you do something stupid,
What is the damage he has done? Drove a small circle in somebody else’s vehicle and returned it to its place? Did he still the car? No, he left it where it was.
And he gets 1 year in jail for that. This is insane in my opinion.
By the way I don’t leave my keys in my vehicle when I’m out of gun range!
So am I reading this right that he never left the property?
WOW!! I read on here all the time people doing really bad stuff and they don’t
get prison time.
So he never even left the premises of the restaurant? That’s wierd
The Sheriff’s Department continuously preaches about locking cars and houses.
There should be signs for criminals that these idiots place in their cars:
“Key or Key Fob is inside. Get in and Help Yourself”
If you really don’t like your vehicle, this is one way to get rid of it.
Idiot. This is for the criminal and the fool that left the key inside the vehicle. This isn’t Mayberry. Someone will really take your stuff! Be smart!
