August 1, 2019

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a man captured on video firing a gun in an Ensley neighborhood.

The ECSO released the video Thursday showing the incident about 10:50 a.m. July 22 in the 8800 block of Figland Avenue. The video appears to show the suspect exit a dark colored sedan and walk down the street with a firearm. He walks back and forth on the street, looks around, and fires multiple shots before running back to the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP or call the ECSO at (850) 436-9620.

Too bad those dogs didn’t jump the fence and bite him in the butt. Looks like he could have tripped crossing the ditch. Falling face first would have felt good to the criminal.
    Explain that happening to you.

He appears to know which house he is targeting. I’m sure those residents know who he is.

@anne something else that folks may not know, body cams and in car video are all subject to public records. So if law enforcement is in your home or wherever everything is recorded including inside your home.

Allegedly firing a weapon, right, innocent until proven guilty.

That’s cause it took the Gun Crimes/Gang unit forever to get back from their fishing trip.

I agree, it was 10 days ago. The video isn’t very clear, so does me no good to look for this car or person.

Dark colored sedan and how many of those are in Pensacola?

I’d be furious if I shared my home surveillance footage and the sheriff gave it to the media. Now the suspect knows who is going to send him to prison BEFORE he’s been arrested and is presumably still armed. What the heck is wrong with this sheriff?

That was 10 days ago. Why does it take so long to release the video?
