Dorian Becomes Hurricane, May Threaten Florida As Cat 3 Storm

Dorian strengthened into a hurricane Wednesday afternoon near the U.S. Virgin Islands, and forecasters say it may be a major Category 3 storm by the weekend as it approaches the Florida east coast.

For the local area, it’s still not known what impacts Dorian will have, if any, early next week.
