Christopher Cary Cardwell

Christopher Cary Cardwell passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, August 18, 2019.

He was born May 13, 1966, to the late Water “Danny” Cardwell and Judy (Barrow) Cardwell in Edwards Airforce Base, CA; spending the majority of his life in Pensacola, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Teresa (Coggin) Cardwell; his daughter, Brittany (Cardwell) Cummings; his son-in-law, Caleb Cummings; his granddaughter, Emelia Cummings; his mother, Judy (Barrow) Cardwell; and his brothers, Kevin and Brandon Cardwell.

He is preceded in death by his father, Water (Danny) Cardwell; his paternal grandparents, Anton “Buddy” Cardwell and Mattie Cardwell; and his maternal grandparents, William Barrow and Ruby Barrow.

He was a graduate of Tate High School Class of 1984. Growing up, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill in Cantonment, and then a member of King’s Way Church in Pensacola as an adult. He was an avid reader and talented artist, often seen drawing and creating wood-working projects. A barber by trade, Chris loved every single one of his clients and his craft. He also spent many hours hunting and fishing with his friends and family.

Chris could crack a joke that could lighten any mood. His friends and family say that he was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet.

Friends and families whose lives were touched by Chris’ life celebrated his life at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home on August 22, 2019.

    Brittany,
    I just heard about your dad. I am so sorry for you and your mom. He was a wonderful dad. It will be hard without him. I’ll pray that you and your mom find peace and comfort.
