August 14, 2019

A Cantonment man is facing two felony charges, including robbery.

Brandon Keon Fryson, 36, was charged with robbery by sudden snatching and obstructing justice by preventing a communication to law enforcement.

Fryson allegedly went to the victim’s home on West Over Avenue in Escambia County and got into an argument with her. She told deputies she was going to call law enforcement, but Fryson grabbed her LG cell phone and her cordless home phone, according to an arrest report.

The report states Fryson ran outside and around the corner of the building to get on his bicycle. The victim called law enforcement from a neighbor’s phone.

The combined value of the two phones was estimated at $50.

Fryson remained in the Escambia County Jail Wednesday with bond set at $10,000.
