Woman Charged With Throwing Drink At Congressman Matt Gaetz Outside Town Hall Event

A woman was arrested Saturday after alltedly throwing her drink at Congressman Matt Gaetz as he was leaving his “We Won’t Back Down” town hall event at a Pensacola restaurant.
Pensacola Police say a female protester threw a drink at Gaetz, hitting him in the back as he was making his way to his waiting car outside the main entrance of the Brew Ha Ha Restaurant.
Police say 35-year old Amanda L. Kondrat’Yev was quickly taken into custody and charged with battery. She was released from the Escambia County Jail Saturday night on a $1,000 bond.
Kondrat’yev ran against Gaetz for his Congressional seat in 2016, along with Cris Dosev and Mark Wichern. She is also the lead plaintiff in the Bayview Cross case against the City of Pensacola.

I think it is very funny, well Missy, we are not a liberal, let you get away with what you want to state. Oh, found that out , LOL. Nope welcome to the true US of A. Seems you are a very sore loser, and who you serve, or represent, shows. It should be treated as a full blow assault, then they might get the message to quit, acting like they do. In this heat / How about 120 hours of public service. Picking up cups? LOL.
She needs to be doxed, where she lives, who she works for, who donates to her. That is what lib’s would do.

As someone born in 1983, I am most adamantly NOT a millennial. For decades I was called “Gen X” and heard about how I was part of the “slacker generation”. My people weren’t lumped in with these crybaby 20 somethings until the last couple of years. We unequivocally do NOT claim to be part of such and identify with our older bros and sisters in the slightly older crowd.
This slob is exactly what is wrong with that generation. She can look in the mirror to see why people would vote again for her competition. It just hardens people’s position.
“Call my husband” as opposed to I didn’t do it, tells me she probably understands what she was involved in @Henry. Attempting to leave the scene is usually frowned upon as well.
Maybe there should be a new stop light put up where this happened…….. I mean, it seems to be the thing that everyone wants to think will save the day!
She attacked an elected official and should be investigated as a domestic terrorist , only seems fitting and tax money well spent

Her mugshot photo may look like it does because she might know she didn’t do it and does know who did it.
I’ve watched the video a few times of the milkshaking. As far as I know there were no witnesses and Matt was looking in the opposite direction as he was walking. The milkshake I’m guessing was thrown underhanded (no pun intended) from behind Matt’s line of sight. The arrest of Kondrat’yev happened because Matt told security it was her but in reality, there is no way for Matt to know who tossed the milkshake and the video does not show who the perp was.
Short of other security footage or an actual eyewitness, I’m betting the case against her gets dropped for lack of evidence.
She seems proud of herself in the photo. That’s what is wrong with that type of thinking. Her violent temper tantrum will hopefully keep her out of elected politics forever. Unless the Democrats find a way to explain it all away like they usually do. Have a nice day!

I believe that we can reduce cup violence while respecting the rights of responsible cup owners. I believe we should expand and strengthen background checks for those who want to purchase a drink container – because it shouldn’t be easier to get a cup than a driver’s license.
In a country as great as ours, no congressman should be afraid to go to a coffee shop. But too many liberals act as if cup violence is just a fact of everyday life.

Mirrors some of the washed-up and irrelevant “Hollywood” types and politicians whose careers and sparkle has long since dimmed. They have to Act Out to get some brief recognition for doing stupid stuff.

Regardless of your political preference., this kind of behavior is not acceptable. I’m no fan of Matt Gaetz but you just have to be respectful especially now when everything is so divisive now. If you can’t debate him in words than step aside.

@Joy ~ She was the loser in a political race against him, and this was just more sour grapes on her part. Isn’t she one of those constantly screaming for “tolerance”? Not that it matters – her behavior is detestable and uncivilized.- but Congressman Gaetz has been more active than many of his peers, particularly when it comes to doing what ALL in Congress have sworn to do: uphold the American Constitution!
Anyone who can find a reason to condone such behavior will hopefully realize that it is completely unacceptable by anyone for any reason.

I wonder what’s wrong with our president? The country is in better shape than it has ever been that I can remember. I’m up in age also. The president is not perfect and neither are any of us. Her last name matches the trouble makers that were suing over the Bayview Cross. I appreciate that our Congressman makes time for these town hall meetings when working people can attend them.
