  1. Lawsuit.......... on June 28th, 2019 12:26 pm

Of COURSE there will be a lawsuit. A lawsuit because some ambulance chaser attorney will want to suck the blood out of the state, or whoever else they feel the urge to go after. Will the family get their loved one back? No. Will there be any real closure in this? No. The ONLY person in a lawsuit for something like this(and 99% of frivolous suits like this) that wins is the attorney. If you think for one second he/she is truly interested in the family you’re sadly mistaken. They are solely interested in exploiting whatever party shows weakness. They capitalize on that and take it to the bank. Do you ever wonder why liability insurance is now so expensive? Here’s your answer.

My condolences to the families of these two people.

@ Resident………….YOU are responsible for the safety of the road and all motorists besides you! Not some government entity not the D.O.T just you and me. Why did the young man “lose control” cars don’t just careen across a large median for no reason. Was he speeding was he texting was he on the phone was he to tired to drive? I drive everyday and see so many people do stupid things behind the wheel. You can not drive form one end of our small town to the other without being cut off or almost ran off the road! Almost no one knows how a blinker works they either don’t use it or they put it on as they are turning or after they have braked! No one seems to want to be responsible they just want to blame the government for not having more laws in place to protect them but God forbid it if the government wants to do a mental health check on someone purchasing a gun then its “big government is bad” time. Personal responsibility seems lost these days.

Lawsuit? Really? It was an accident. Accidents happen. I do like the idea of the steel wires to help prevent this from happening in the future.

Prayers to the family. No one wants to lose a loved one.

There will be a lawsuit from this. Technology exists to prevent a vehicle from traveling into oncoming traffic however it is not there. Like Brian said, the steel wires will prevent a vehicle from crossing into the oncoming Lane and would have prevented this. Big time lawsuit is coming from this. Whoever is responsible for the safety of the road will be found liable.

Maybe Florida can install the steel wires like I-65 has all through Alabama to prevent median crossing head on collisions.
