I’m the aunt of the other injured driver. I have a few tings I’d like to say. First, Wesley, I’m happy to hear your mother is okay! She’s been in our thoughts and prayers all night! I would also like to thank those who stopped to help. I need to give a huge thank you to all of the first responders /FD/EMS that were on scene. I cannot speak to how they treated the others injured, but not for their quick assessment and transport of my niece, she wouldn’t be here today. Thank you to the surgeons who went in and stopped the bleeding, saving her life. And of course, thank God for watching over both of these ladies and all involved, and for blessing everyone involved in their care with the knowledge and skills Needed to help them. Continuing prayers for all!

This was my 20 year old daughter driving the silver car. She asked repeatedly while waiting on paramedics to get out of her vehicle to go check on the driver she collided with. She is in nursing school and instantly wanted to check on others involved.. Kayleigh had emergency surgery yesterday morning and remains in ICU. While I appreciate everyone stating pay attention and drive defensively, and I agree, this was an accident We by all means are praying for the driver and her family during this time and would appreciate prayers for our sweet daughter. Hug your loved ones tight. You never know when it might be your last. Prayers for all.

Mommy Jay, please don’t think we were not thinking/praying for BOTH drivers. I spoke with Beverly (believe that’s her grandmothers correct name….crazy morning) at the accident about your daughter in law and checked on her a couple times when on phone with EMS and while waiting on EMS etc. I also was able to get update on her last night from our neighbor and found out she ended up having her spleen removed. I didn’t mean to imply we were not concerned about ALL involved I just was unable to get any info on other driver. I know accidents happen daily and change lives in seconds….my dad almost lost both legs in horrible accident 9 years ago and is still in constant pain due to motorcycle accident that was not his fault. We understand that it happens fast and is an ACCIDENT no matter the cause/fault and just want to make sure ALL involved are doing as well as can be after seeing what happened.

Glad BOTH drivers are okay, accidents happen every day every second. My daughter in law (in the silver car) had emergency surgery yesterday morning due to her spleen if not she wouldn’t be here with us. She has a long long recovery ahead of her. Prayers for BOTH drivers and their families.

Wesley, I am SO glad you posted. I called 911 and stayed/spoke with your mother as we were there seconds after impact. My 5 yr old son was with me (but he stayed in my car and didn’t see your mother/injuries) and has been asking constantly about her. He has be so concerned, as have I, about her injuries and status. He keeps asking if he can take her flowers! I have been checking regularly for posts as I didn’t know which hospital or any contact info. We will continue to pray for her and your family and wish her the best recovery possible.

This was my mother in the little white car. She is banged up pretty bad and still in the hospital. She has a long road of recovery but is still with us thank God. I know but will not say what happened.
