Highway 29 Lane Restrictions Planned From 9 1/2 Mile To I-10

May 9, 2019

Northbound Highway 29 traffic between I-10 and 9 1/2 mile Road may have intermittent lane restrictions from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, May 9 through Saturday, May 11 as crews prepare to shift traffic to the newly constructed northbound lanes. This will allow crews to begin new construction of the future southbound roadway.

Construction activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.

Marie, this lane shift is for the work on the lane widening on Highway 29/Pensacola Blvd, from I-10 to 9 1/2 Mile Rd. (Bridge over 9-Mile Road). This project started shortly after the 9-Mile Rd lane widening project from Beulah Rd (I think) to Highway 29/Pensacola Blvd. This is not a new project.

When are they going to finished a project before they start another. 9 mile road has been under construction going on 2 years now and nothing has been completed yet. They need to go to Foley AL. and see what they can do in less than a week. There are no reason for not completed sooner except just being lazy or thing about the more money they can get for not doing it faster.
