License-Free Freshwater Fishing This Weekend In Florida
April 6, 2019
This weekend a freshwater fishing license isn’t required to enjoy the sport in Florida.
License-free freshwater fishing days allow anglers to fish for freshwater species without being required to have a recreational fishing license. All bag limits and size restrictions apply.
“Maybe you’ve never fished before or it’s been a few years,” said Jon Fury, director of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Division of Freshwater Fisheries Management. “Get out and give it a try! If you’re an experienced angler, take someone with you who has never been fishing.”

I love To Fish
JT is right. A license to fish is ridiculous!
Yea the man in picture probably bought fishing license then has to fish in lake stone waiting on something to bite and never does it’s sad that beautiful lake and u never catch a thing it’s sad we pay land tax, taxes out of check just taxes after taxes and Florida just wanna do bridge work and sure don’t pave our highways like 99or 4 they could use money for recreational things such as keep lake stone stocked up with healthy bass but it to close to century even the fish don’t wanna live here around Hawkins
You shouldn’t have to have a license to fish in the first place.
