Weather Alert Day: Tornado Watch; Enhanced Risk Of Severe Storms

A tornado watch as been issued for the entire North Escambia area tonight.

An enhanced risk (level 3 of 5) has been issued for the entire North Escambia area for Thursday. Severe storms are expected with damaging winds 70 mph or greater and possibility of a strong tornado (EF2 or higher).

Here is your official North Escambia area forecast:

Tonight: Periods of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 4am. Some of the storms could be severe and produce heavy rainfall. Low around 57. Windy, with a southeast wind 15 to 25 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Friday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms, then scattered showers after 7am. Cloudy, with a high near 66. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers before 1am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 45. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 69. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 45. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
