Ransom Middle, Kingsfield Elementary Placed On Precautionary Lockdown

March 1, 2019

Kingsfield Elementary and Ransom Middle schools were placed on a precautionary lockdown Friday afternoon.

A person off campus called in an unspecified threat against personnel at Kingsfield Elementary School, said Amber Southard, chief public information officer for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

The alleged perpetrator was taken into custody under the Baker Act. Florida’s Baker Act allows officers to take an individual into custody for an involuntary mental examination when it is believed they are a danger to themselves or others.

The lockdown was lifted by 2:40 p.m.

    REGARDING:
“The Bible says: SPARE THE ROD SPOIL THE CHILD.”
    followed by
“That is not a quote from the Bible.”

    Reasonably close: though:
    Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Many seem to think it means they should beat their children daily whether they misbehave or not, but then few actually read the Bible or consider what it teaches even though it is available freely to all with Internet. They just quote old sayings and assume they are in the Bible. (I tend to attribute those to the non-existent book of Hezekiah where all the things the Lord “should have said” are kept.)

The article reads as if possibly an insane person called it in rather than an evil child. The Bible shows those are exempt from the rod rule.

I hope whoever did the deed improves.

    David for better people

The Bible says: SPARE THE ROD SPOIL THE CHILD.
But our Judges know more than GOD. or they thank they do.

It’s a sad day when someone threatens elementary school teachers and employees.
