Animal Abuse Suspect Arrested, New Wanted Person Named To ‘Century Six’

March 14, 2019

After the arrest of a woman wanted for violating probation on animal cruelty charges, a new member has been named to the Century Six — a fugitive list from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office that focuses on North Escambia area residents with outstanding warrants.

The newest member of the Century Six is Melissa Ann Elliot, 35. She is wanted for failure to appear for on a battery charge. She has no bond.

Amber Danielle Creighton, 28, was arrested for violation of probation, just days after being named to the Century Six and featured on NorthEscambia.com.

Creighton was convicted in October 2017 of eight counts of animal cruelty and seven counts of violating Florida’s animal cruelty contagious disease law. She was sentenced to 12 months probation and ordered not to own or care for any animals. There is now an outstanding warrant for her arrest for violating probation.

According to arrest report, animal control officers found seven adult dogs and seven puppies at her residence in the 3900 block of Highway 97 in May 2017. Records show dogs had open wounds and were suffering from scabies and “Dermanex” (sic -possible spelling error in arrest report for demodex), a highly contagious and infectious disease.  Prior to being charged, Creighton had been cited multiple times and warned by Escambia County Animal Control.

Anyone with information on the Century Six is asked to call the ECSO at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers (850) 433-STOP.

@ Citizen YES, I have done wrong! Not broken the law. But, now raising a granddaughter, because her parents had disregard for the things they did. And every time they went to court, a slap!! And some charges were very serious, hence she has been adopted by us!
And 2 other children adopted by other family members! So if isn’t wasn’t for that, honey, I would be glad to give you my name!!! And I have seen personally other people keep getting away with stuff because they are not afraid of anything! The law or hurting family or animals, which by the way is deplorable!!!! So now you have the rest of my opinion citizen, don’t hurt children, animals or the elderly and respect the laws of this great country we live in!!!!

MaeMae ok but I still stand by what I have said. Why don’t you insert your name where I put JustSaying in the other comment and reread. That comment goes for everyone. I don’t know any of them as far as I know.

A citizen, knowing one of them personally, I agree with just saying. Spoiled, selfish and an all around horrible person. Nor saying which one I know, but I’m happy to see them having to face some consequences.

JustSaying, how do you know what they think? Have you been charged with anything before and you refuse to stop? Have you ever thought that maybe for some a slap on the wrist might stop, maybe just being warned would stop some, I’m sure not all but some. Have you never done wrong before? Yes you have, we all have. Some just get caught and some do not. I wish people would start looking at themselves and the people they might could do something with before they start judging others. Anybody can be charged or accused of anything.

Now that she is caught, take some action that will teach her a lesson! Not just a slap on the wrist like before, she and others know nothing will happen to them anyway.
