Molino Man Facing Drug Charges After Traffic Stop, Battery Charges From Tryst

February 28, 2019

An Molino man was arrested on drug charges and an outstanding battery warrant after a traffic stop for speeding in Walnut Hill.

An Escambia County Sheriff’s deputy clocked Jason Fayard at 80 mph on Highway 97 near Highway 164 and pulled him over. The deputy immediately noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to an arrest report.  During a search of the vehicle, deputies reported finding about 50 grams of marijuana, a clear bag containing methamphetamine, Alprazolam pills, a grinder with marijuana residue, rolling paper, glass pipes and other items. He was also cited for speeding.

Fayard was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana more than 20 grams, possession of controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The battery warrant stemmed from a February 5 incident in Molino.

Deputies responded to a home on Highway 97 near Highway 95A where an adult female was crying and bleeding from the mouth. She told deputies she had been seeing Fayard for a few months for sex, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report that details the incident.  She told deputies she consented to being restrained, byt he also placed a belt around her neck to the point she felt uncomfortable. She told Fayard she wanted to leave, and Fayard began to punch her in the head, the report continues.

After breaking free from the restraints, she made an effort to exit the residence, but Fayard snatched the belt, causing her to fall at which time he punched her in the head, the arrest report states. Fayard also allegedly dragged her through the home with the belt around her neck.

Deputies reported they arrived to find the belt still around the victim’s neck. She refused medical treatment.

Fayard denied the incident was anything but consensual, accord to the report. The incident was not considered domestic violence due to the cordial relationship and the fact they did not live together.

Fayard was transferred Wednesday to the Santa Rosa County Jail on outstanding warrants for battery and burglary.

It’s easy to judge someone on a wym. Jason Fayard is one of the best fathers I have ever seen in my life. And im sorry but everyone has something they do whether it’s prescription or not, a drug is a drug is a drug! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!!!! Judge not lest ye be judged!! Mandy

I’ve known of this person my whole life. Yes, he comes from a very good family who has done more to get him through life than most people ever receive. He had doors open to him that most could not even approach. Best education, best choice of school but all he wanted was to be PCI gangster. His wonderful Christian mother has bent over backwards to help him… he has made his choices. Time and time he had a choice and chose his path. Now he should be held accountable.

    @common sense
Why does money and/or drugs have to be involved? I’m assuming you’ve never seen or heard of Fifty Shades of Gray?

Sounds like the woman was down for No Strings Attached rough sex and this pig took it to an assault. There is a big difference in being tied up during sex and being punched in the head and made to bleed.

According to victim’s statement, she had been seeing the accused for several months for purposes of sex and she agreed to being restrained by him. If this behavior had been in existence for several months and the victim had readily agreed to being restrained for sex, it does make one wonder:

    Was money and/or drugs involved?

If she was a willing participant, why was the accused named
for the record and the media and she is permitted to remain
    unidentified? Does this seem fair?

I grew up with Jason…..I really hope he gets the help he needs. We all need the grace of God. So instead of condemning and rushing to judgement remember when you see someone fall don’t laugh learn…. learn because you or nobody else is exempt from the temptation of this life. When you laugh at someone’s white or black.. rich or poor… your enemy of your friend you are opening away for your own demise. Because to laugh and not learn to make mockery and not to understand is to make the same mistake yourself.

sounds like the victim will need some counseling, bcuz she is into things that could get her into trouble physically. i fear for her safety if she continues in this hobby. :(
