Washington’s Birthday is Feb 22! Lincolns Birthday is Feb 12th! One of my boys was born on Washington’s bday, then the next year my other son was born on Lincoln’s birthday. Back in the day we used to celebrate on those days…truly miss the good old days!!!

Thanks for the return. I too look at the NWS in addition to the good articles on EN.com
I suppose being in the school system for 39 years and trying to impart a bit of “hysterical” to those that may grasp such, I just wished to make sure ALL knew ’bout the 22nd as George Birthingtons’s Washday! :-)

    >>>I believe if checked out, Washington’s birthday was the 22nd of February. The Us Congress established President’s Day because of Lincoln and Washington being born in the same month.

The holiday is legally Washington’s Birthday, observed on the third Monday of February (so it never falls on his actual birthday of February 22). It is often referred to as President’s Day, but that is not the official name of the holiday.

(We receive the forecast from the National Weather Service, thus the Washington’s Birthday. We probably would have typed President’s Day)
