U.S. Postal Service Stamp Prices Have Increased
January 28, 2019
Mailing a letter and some packages will now cost you a little bit more.
The United States Postal Service has increased rates of not only stamps but also flat rate boxes and envelopes and other mail services.
Postage for a one-ounce letter will increase from 50 cents to 55 cents, but the price of each additional ounce has decreased from 21 to 15 cents. The nickel increase for a first-class stamp is the largest percentage hike since a four cent increase in 1991.

Still don’t know how to get a letter from here to California for less than 55 cents. No complaints here.
Is junk mail almost free to send?
Geez…that is quite a jump in price…ridiculous! This is why we autopay our bills online.
Service is horrible…so let’s give the post office a 10% raise…makes no sense.
Service is horrible. period. personnel…just about as bad. It’s like a certain fast food chain…the worser it is…the worser it’s gonna get…with a price increase.
Can they give an honest reason why?
From my experience, the usps is the absolute worst delivery service. If it were a normal biz, they would have been done years ago.
