Teresa Kay Robinson

Teresa Kay Robinson (Terri), age 63, of Atmore, AL, died January 14, 2019, in Pensacola, FL. She was born July 6, 1955, in Atmore, the daughter of the late Edward Straughn “Babe” and Catherine Roberts Robinson.

She was a graduate of Escambia Academy, the University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL, and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Canoe. She worked many years in retail with Jerry’s Hardware and K-Mart. She enjoyed traveling and participating in mission trips.

Ms. Robinson is survived by numerous cousins of the Roberts and Robinson families, including Carol Rafalski, cousin and caregiver of Milton, FL, and special friend, Linda Mills of Atmore.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 17 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Waylon Stuckey officiating.

Mary Bell McGhee

Mary Bell McGhee, 71 of Poarch, AL, passed away Wednesday January 9, 2019 at her residence. She was a homemaker. She was born in Atmore, AL on October 28, 1947, to the late M.C. and Hattie Lou Presley Morris.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benny A. McGhee and a sister, Marilyn Ross.

Survivors include one son, Roger Adam (Althea) McGhee of Poarch, AL; two daughters, Janet M. (Chris) Rodriguez of McCullough, AL and Carla M. (Andy) Hammonds of Brewton, AL; three brothers, Mack (Pam) Morris of Cantonment, FL, Mack Jr. (Sandra) Morris of McDavid, FL; David (Tiny) Morris of Perdido, AL; three sisters, Annette (Late Don) Nall of Huxford, AL, Lannette (Late Michael) Turberville of Uriah, AL, Gallette (David) Moore of Poarch, AL; 10 grandchildren, Gia Langham, Devin Rodriguez, Brittany Rodriguez, Tori Rodriguez, Coley McGhee, Shawna Smith, Brooke McGhee, Tristan Montgomery, Makenna Pettis and Seth “Zeth” Hammonds; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, January 14, 2019, from Atmore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cornelius Phillips and Tristan Montgomery officiating.

Interment was in New Home Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Coley McGhee, Devin Rod, Tristan Montgomery, Steven Ross, Wesley Morris, Austin Turberville, and Seth Hammonds.

Honorary pallbearers were Maxine Johnson, Juliette Haikey, Pauline Wilson, and Brent Pinkston.

Arthur Junior Bell

Mr. Arthur Junior Bell, age 92, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, in Pensacola, Florida.

Mr. Bell was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton, Alabama. He retired from Kimberly Clark Paper Company, former owner of JR Trucking and was a member of the Moyeville Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur B. and Jewel Bell; daughter, Anita Bell Boyle; granddaughter, Tawaka Bell; three sisters, Gloria Bell, Juanita Bell and Mildred Lambeth; and two brothers, Tharon Bell and Russell Bell.

He is survived by his two sons, Nathan Bell of Monroeville, AL and Dennis Lee Bell of Houston, TX; three brothers, Roscoe (Tommie Lee) Bell of Flomaton, AL, O’Neil (Cathyrn) Bell of Brewton, AL and Roger Bell of Brewton, AL; seven sisters, Virginia Moye of Pensacola, FL, Eva Lou (Tom) Pittman of St. Stevens, AL, Luverne Lowry of Foley, AL, Judy Clay of Foley, AL, Norma Jean (Don) Fritts of Lillian, AL, Willanet “Sunshine” (Ken) Barksdale of Lillian, AL and Cathy (Curtis) Cook of Cantonment, FL; four grandchildren, Michael Bell, Amanda Stokes, Kaylee Bell and Desiree Bell; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hutto and Rev. Dempsey Bell officiating.

Burial was at Moyeville Cemetery.

Patricia Arlene Hall McKinley

Patricia Arlene “Patty” Hall McKinley, 59 of Atmore, AL, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Mobile, AL. She was an LPN and retired as administrative assistant from Baldwin County DHR. She was born in Atmore, AL on September 7, 1959, to Heron and Hazel Brown Hall.

She is preceded in death by her father, Heron Hall.

Survivors include her husband, Monty Greg McKinley of Atmore, AL; mother, Hazel Brown Hall of Atmore, AL; one son, Justin Heron McKinley of Lottie, AL; one daughter, Heather Joy McKinley (Jamie) Jones of Pike Road, AL; two sisters, Linda (Terry) Jones and Cathy (Michael) Phillips both of Atmore, AL; two grandchildren, Payton Jones and Ryder Jones.

Services were held Monday, January 14, 2019, at 10 a.m. from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Davis officiating.

Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Thomas Wayne Miller

Mr. Thomas Wayne Miller, age 44, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019. Mr. Miller was a resident of Davisville, Florida, for most of his life. He attended True Hope Fellowship in Atmore, Alabama.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Odis E. and Lillie Bell Miller, and his maternal grandparents, James Rayo and Julia Katherine Luker.

Mr. Miller is survived by his parents, Thomas E. and Linda L. Miller; two sons, Christopher Shep Wayne (Kathryn) Miller and Cody Blayne Miller; four daughters, Crystal Hope Miller, Brooklyn Paige Reynolds, Faith Naomi Miller, and Liza Lillie-Anne Miller; two grandchildren, Paisley Delane Miller and Christopher Price Miller; two sisters, Katherine Rayleen (Paul) Luis and Linda Kay Leigh (Elliott) Faircloth; and one nephew, Caden Archer Luis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. from the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Bro. J. Douglas Coburn will be officiating.

Dana Beth Hall

January 15, 2019

Dana Beth Hall, born Dana Beth Stephenson, was born May 17, 1975, to Bob and Linda Stephenson. She had a wild love for cars and family. She was the best wife a husband could ever ask for and the “Best Mom Ever” to her son, Evan. She had a smile that would light up a room and was ever giving with her friendship and love. God truly called home one of his angels on January, 10, 2019.

Dana is survived by her husband of almost 20 years, Nathan; son, Evan; parents, Bob and Linda Stephenson; brother, Christopher, nieces, Gabrielle and Grace; in-laws, Larry Sr. and Jessica Hall; brother and sister in-law, Larry Jr. and Krystal, and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

The only thing greater than the sorrow from her loss, is the happiness she brought to her family and friends. She will be truly missed.

I love you and miss you, Nathan

Marion Petty Stedman

Mrs. Marion Petty Stedman, age 75, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019, in Century, Florida.

Mrs. Stedman was a native of Bogia, FL and resided in Flomaton, AL since 1999. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a graduate of Century High School, Miss Century High 1959, a Hospice Nurse, 1st Lady in Charleston NY Fire Department and a CDL truck driver.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Michael Rabon; parents, Dr. W.M. Petty and Nell Petty and one brother, Elgia Petty.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ron Stedman of Flomaton, AL; one son, Keith (Tabitha) Stedman of Flomaton, AL; two daughters, Kim (Will) Carter of Century, FL and Jamie (Marty) Pierce of Schoharie, NY; two brothers, Basil (Gina) Petty of Hayden, AL and Joe Max Petty of Bogia, FL; one sister, Donna Fillmore of Flomaton, AL; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stickle and Rev. Dexter Truesdell officiating.

Burial was at Ray’s Chapel Cemetery.

Raymond Frank Pierson

January 15, 2019

Raymond Frank Pierson passed away at home on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the age of 84.

He was born on December 6, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Pensacola, Florida when he was a young boy. A lot of people knew him as “Bum”, a nickname given to him by his father. He married the love of his life, Ruth “Jeanette” King, on June 18, 1955. They were together for 59 years until her death on August 29, 2014.

He worked in the Bleach Plant at International Paper in Cantonment, Florida for 47 years. He was a lifelong blood donor with over 35 gallons being recognized by the Blood Bank. After retirement he enjoyed wood working and crafting with his wife.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth “Jeanette” King Pierson; and father, Raymond Leslie Pierson.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth Ray (Shannon) Pierson, Sr., Brenda Eileen Pierson (Acie) Dickerson, and Barbara Grace Pierson; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; mother, Rose Eileen Meacham Pierson; brother and sisters, Don Leslie (Pam) Pierson, Cathy Pierson (Nestor) White, and Margie Pierson (David) Haygood.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Pastor Richard Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in Cottage Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Betty Grace Sport

January 15, 2019

Betty Grace Sport, 76, died January 12, 2019, at Select Specialty Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Savannah, GA, on May 8, 1942, Betty Grace grew up in Bainbridge, GA, and moved to Pensacola in 1971 with her husband and their three children.

Over the years, Betty Grace worked as a licensed practical nurse and furniture salesperson and, more recently, as a volunteer at West Florida Hospital for several years. She was an active member of Pinewoods Presbyterian Church, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known as a kind, generous, joyful, witty Nana who unconditionally loved her family and wholeheartedly served God.

Betty Grace is survived by her children, Mercer Sport (Jean) of Cantonment; Lewis Sport (Paula) of St. Augustine, FL, and Lisa Sport Herrington (Scott) of Molino; as well as grandchildren, Haleigh Sport of Nashville; Hunter Sport of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Heather Sport of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Tanner and Tavi Sport of St. Augustine; and Amanda Jenkins and Tori Herrington of Molino, as well as two great-granddaughters, Alliana and Atalie Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis “Buddy” Sport; her parents, Mercer and Vivian Baggs; a sister, Penny Baggs Kwilecki; and two brothers, William and Robert Baggs.

The family will receive guests at a visitation on January 19 at 3 p.m. at Pinewoods Presbyterian Church in Cantonment, followed by a celebration of her life at 4 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers include the elders of Pinewoods Church.

UPDATE: This missing person has been located safely at a family member’s home. The Silver Alert has been canceled.

A Florida Silver Alert has been issued for an Escambia County woman.

Frances Deuser, 80, was last seen about 4:00 p.m. Monday driving south on Pine Forest Road in a four-door Black Hyundai with Florida tag EYMW42. The vehicle has front end damage.

She was wearing a multi-colored blouse and beige slacks. She wears glasses.
