Does anyone who the Hanks bridge was named after or how it got its name?

Adjusted for inflation, to be comparable, the bridge should have cost $218,000 fifty years ago. Wonder how that compares.

1968 wondering what it cost to build this bridge back then?

$1.58 MILLION in 2019 to replace bridge plus on-off roads, etc.

50 years plus from when bridge was new and just thinking the original builders would be most surprised at the COST to Taxpayers.

This just seems crazy to put that much money in that bridge when Pinebarren Rd is in terrible shape and traveled alot more than Hanks Rd! Pinebarren has so many pot holes in it till it’s not funny! Can only be patched so much and then every rain here we go more holes!
