The Florida Department of Corrections has announced $1,000 hiring bonuses at the Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in Milton.
Applicants who complete their correctional officer certification through either FDC or certain state colleges will be eligible for the bonus. Paid training is available.

No wander no one stays working there, giving brand new people 1000 and the ones that been there 10 plus years get “Bumped up” to what a new hire is making. This is very shameful for the state of florida.
Ok, that’s great getting a sign on bonus.
What about the last class that has just graduated?
Hardly seems right that they lose out.
Please recheck. Century is not eligible for the hiring bonus this quarter.
The state will give a new hire a thousand dollar bonus. But refuses to give the officers that have been there for years a fair wage they consistently breed there own problems.
woW a whole thousand dollars!
