Edna Glenn Thornton

Mrs. Edna Glenn Thornton, age 78, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at her home in Byrneville, Florida.

Mrs. Thornton was a native of Molino, FL and had resided in Byrneville, FL for most of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thornton, Sr.

She is survived by one son, Richard (Lena) Thornton, Jr. of Pace, FL; three daughters, Peggy Sue Settle of Spartanburg, SC, Johnnie Elizabeth Thornton of Tulsa, OK and Lillie Diane (John) de Jarnette of Byrneville, FL; two brothers, Danny Glenn of Perdido, AL and Roy Gene (Renee) of Clinton, LA; three sisters, Judy (Joe) Phillips of Jacksonville, FL, Donna Reaves of McDavid, FL and Charlene (James) Cruz of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26 at 11:00 AM at Byrneville United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Hawkins officiating.

Burial will follow at Byrneville United Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at the Byrneville United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Richard Thornton III, Clay Helton, Jr., Ricky Derik Cofield, Randy Murph, Alan Driskell, Allen Holland and Hunter Edwards.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Briley Beers.
