Driver’s License Service In Century Tuesday

January 28, 2019

Area residents will be able to receive driver’s license services in Century Tuesday.

Escambia County Tax Collector Scott Lunsford has partnered with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to bring the Florida Licensing On Wheels (FLOW) mobile office in Century on Tuesday, February 5 until 3 p.m. at the Billy G. Ward Courthouse at 7500 North Century Boulevard.

FLOW is a stand-alone mobile office with technology to provide most motorists’ needs. The mobile unit provides a convenient method to renew a driver’s license, obtain a replacement driver’s license, conversion or reciprocation of out-of-state license, change a name or address on a current driver’s license or identification card, and get a first-time identification card. In addition to licensing services, the mobile unit also provides an opportunity to renew or replace a vehicle registration and apply, renew or replace disabled parking placards. Written and driving tests are not available from the FLOW unit.

Citizens using the FLOW services are encouraged to visit EscambiaTaxCollector.com and click the “What Do I Bring” button for information on what is needed for these services.

Staff from the tax collector’s office will be on hand to answer all FLOW service questions and questions concerning all other tax collector services such as property tax, business tax receipts, concealed weapons licensing, etc. Citizens also can drop off their property tax payments (checks only).

    We have arranged for the FLOW mobile to visit Century once per quarter in 2019. In addition to the flow staff, tax collector staff will be onsite to answer questions and review your documents to expedite transaction times. For a complete list of required documents, visit our What Do I Bring page at http://www.escambiataxcollector.com. We encourage you to help spread the word to make each visit successful.

    We have several new services to make doing business with our office easier. Express Lane offers same day pickup of renewed registrations at all locations. Renew your registrations online, choose an office and we will have them ready when you arrive. BTExpress offers online application, approval and printing of your business tax receipts. Q-Less allows you to Join the Line or make an appointment from your smart phone. With Q-Less you can check-in and then head to the office as your service time approaches. And finally, our Payment Center is always open for property tax, tangible tax, business tax renewal and public records searches. All online transactions paid by E-Check are fee free.

    @Brenda….totally agree
    Even once a month will be great!

    Is this one time only or every month? Hope every month. Century gets the bad end of everything but this will be nice if it be every week or month.
