Drivers Runs Off Highway 29, Hits Mobile Homes
January 13, 2019
The driver of a pickup truck ran off the roadway and struck two mobile homes in Cantonment Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle was apparently northbound when the driver crossed the median, struck several mailboxes, hit a utility pole, struck the corner of a mobile home before the truck came to rest under a second mobile home.
The driver was transported by Escambia County EMS with non-life threatening injuries. No one in the mobile home was injured.
The crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.

So I am told you can’t be braking while making yaw marks on the pavements. Someone needs to watch NASCAR…. LOL
So there is buses that pick up Children at the location everyday six stops daily. Children that check the mail in the afternoon’s before going home. So grateful
Could’ve been a medical emergency? Heart attack?
A Alex, those are yaw marks not skid marks! Fact! The vehicle was sideways…. Fact he was arrested at the hospital. Fact.. Stop trashing people unless you were there and know the FACTs.
Yvonne, didn’t brake? I see skid marks on the south bound lanes from him…. Facts, nothing but the facts. No mention of a DUI…
We can’t even feel safe in our own homes anymore. Wonder what his bail will be.
The idiot was drunk!! At noon!!! He never even attempted to brake until he crossed the median crossed 2 south bound lanes of traffic took our 15 mailboxes, a giant power pole and then landed under the mobile home!!
Thank God no one in the park was hurt except him..which he deserves! Usually drink drivers kill other innocent people! Thankfully this wasn’t the case here! Counting blessings today!! Thank you Lord!!
