Retired Escambia County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Caleb Passes Away

Retired Escambia County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Caleb passed away Wednesday evening.

Master Deputy Wayne Gulsby and Caleb received several honors at the national level during Caleb’s career at the ECSO.

K-9 Caleb served the citizens of Escambia County from February 2013 until his retirement in 2017.

    RIP Caleb. Thank you for doing your job so well for us in Escambia County.
    Wayne, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose your dog, but he was also your partner and best buddy…that I can’t imagine. Your babies will be waiting for you in heaven. God bless you, brother!

    Two hard losses for Deputy Gulsby this yr. Miso, his older retired K9 partner, died in April and now Caleb. I am heart broken for your loss. God bless you and your family. RIP K9 deputies, Caleb and Miso. Thank you for your service.
