Stephanie Ephriam this was my brother. Thank you for stopping to help and calling 911. It’s because of people like you that my brother made it home. God bless you and everyone that assisted him that night.
Not sure of the details as to what caused this wreck, but I can say with certainty that speed, aggressive and wreckless driving on this highway is a major issue. I can’t remember the last time I drove this highway and was not passed by several cars, even when I’m already traveling 60mph. Some are so impatient they will pass on double yellow lines. It’s out of control and something should be done. Police presence does make a difference.
You are fortunate to be alive.
I was there when this accident happen and took place. I was the person who called 911and helped him stay focus and conscious to help arrived. I also stop other drivers too insist me! I almost was hit several times by speeding drivers as I was trying to help this guy.But thank God we all were safe. He got help, and I pray that he will pull through this.
Hwy 97 has became a nightmare to travel these days I hate going to Pensacola just for the very reason I would have to drive this dangerous road so for that very reason me and my money goes to Spanish Fort to shop until the law enforcement gets this under control there is going to be wrecks and more deaths
This stretch of road between Hwy 29 and the State Line is dangerous and more dangerous during dark hours. The road is not a straight stretch, but with hills and curves. Law Enforcement is no where around there. I travel this road at least twice per week, and make sure it’s always during daylight hours. Don’t drink or text and drive and slow down. Drivers are in a big hurry and wanting to exceed the posted speed.
Seems like the trees always win in these events!
I hate driving on hwy 97, people will run you down…they have zero patience for someone driving the speed limit at 55. For all you speeders on 97 keep the bottom side up, and If you can’t do that, there are plenty of trees and ditches to slow y’all down, and don’t forget to make sure your auto policy is paid up!!!
When will these wrecks on 97 stop? Law enforcement is the only way to stop the speeders, tailgaters, and those who pass on yellow lines.
