Those dumb engineers made you buy or build your house on that flood prone land. HWY 29 and Nine Mile Road are Florida State DOT roads. Also remember these flooding problems when blowing/ dumping leaves and grass into ditches.

Just attach a boat outboard motor onto the tailgate of that white pickup truck in the photo, & away it will go!

no HMMNN, Our county engineers can’t seem to figure out how and where water flows. The standards seem to suck as we OFTEN get multiple inches of rain here. Seems they drain for 2″ max rainfall. Plus all these 1 street subdivisions almost always cause problems nearby. I’m at 108 feet above sea level (thats a mountain in FLA) and my yard and house flood. Gave up battling the county for the last 18 years as they “didn’t care’ (words of the old engineer). No master plan…piecemeal construction. Plus didn’t this area JUST get an upgrade? Laughable and pathetic in my book. If I did my job in the military half assed like this I’d be in Leavenworth.
