These wrecks on 97 happen all the time. One of the most dangerous roads in Escambia County. Drive on 97 and just count the drivers who pass on yellow lines, speed, talking or texting on phone, and following too closely.
I passed this at 5 a.m and saw the reflection when I passed. So I turned around because I thought the reflection was from a motorcycle. When I came back and it was the bumper on the opposite side of the crash. Thought someone just lost their bumper had no idea there was a vehicle on the opposite side mangled. I pray the owner is ok and only wish I had known what my gut was telling me.
For such a straight road people sure have a hard time staying on it.
Can’t belive how many “rollovers” are happening. Are vehicles now
top heavy ? Somehow people are getting off the paved road and onto
the shoulder then seemingly are at a loss of what to do. Could too much
speed be a bit player ? How about any reason to not be paying attention ?
Not sure where all this is heading but sure is getting dangerous out there !
