Bicyclist Steals Car From Flomaton Gas Station

The Flomaton Police Department is asking for help to find a vehicle stolen by a man that was riding a bicycle.

The gray in color 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe with Alabama tag number 30BS443 was taken from the Texaco gas station on Sidney Manning Boulevard at Highway 31. The vehicle has damage to the front left door area and is missing a front bumper.

According to Flomaton Police, they believe the SUV was stolen by a black male wearing a tan Carhartt jacket. Before the theft, he was seen riding on a blue bicycle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Flomaton Police Department at (251) 296-5811.

A similar incident occurred in Century in late November when a bicyclist stole a vehicle from a residential neighborhood. [Read more...] There’s been no word from authorities if the two incidents are related.

    Opportunity Theft for sure, guy on bike saw a chance to have the SUV and simply took it without having to confront the owner or anyone.
    Thankful nobody hurt except for some property losses, maybe including the bike being stolen from a child.
    Never leave your vehicle running even “for just a moment”
    Hope the guy is caught and prosecuted.

    Probably a stolen bicycle. Hope they get the vehicle back.

    I had my truck stole from a gas station one time . I left my truck running,, it was my fault,, i always keep my keys in my pocket now . I hope they find the persons car

    crimes that used to happen in other places are becoming common here at home. i fault the poor parenting and a weak justice system that releases criminals too easily.

    When i get gas i take my keys out lock my door go pay for my gas. I started doing that when someone i know got her money stolen in Atmore while her and the person was talking.
