PPD: Man Walked In Police Station, Asked To Be Jailed For Child Porn
November 17, 2018
An Escambia County man was arrested he walked into a police station and told them he needed to go to jail and showed them downloaded child porn on this cellphone.
Cory Hinsch walking into the Pensacola Police Department and told a sergeant that he needed to be taken to jail because he had child porn on his phone, according to an arrest report. Hinsch then placed his phone up to a glass divider between him and the sergeant and showed him a photo of a 7 to 8-year old girl engaged in a sex act.
After being read his Miranda rights, Hinsch told investigators that he downloaded the child porn from the “dark web” and consented to a search of his phone. Investigators found two child pornography images on the phone, the report states.
Hinsch was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. He was released from the Escambia County Jail.

This is a weird story. Looks like a guy wanted to be in jail, and decided to use the least violent way to do it, downloaded a couple of pictures and said “arrest me”.
Keep in mind: as far as we know he did not do anything to sexually abuse children, he did not encourage it by paying those who produce that stuff.
To those who think he wanted help, wouldn’t you go to a doctor for help? The prisons are for punishing, not help.
Tasha, I was thinking the same thing. He turned himself in and they turn around and put him back out on the streets.
Cory is a sick young man. he passes judgement on people about he thinks is right or wrong SOOOOOO I guess he thought he needed to turn himself in. he really is a sick young man.
@EMD–If he think he’s turning himself in to get psychological help, he’s in for a HUGE surprise. In Escambia County Corrections it is all but non existent. In state prison, it’s a little better. However, he’s more likely to be placed on meds, no real treatment. Yes, despite what you hear on the news or read about them both spending money on mental health treatment.
@Tasha–They can’t just keep him in jail because they want to. Bond is based on him showing up for court. Since he turned himself in…More to it, but that’s the gist..
This is so sick how they released him after all they’ve see on his phone!!! He walked in the jail on his on so to me he was asking for help but only caught a charge.. how do you just send him back out in the world knowing he is sick in the head and will be
Out here around our children??? Our system is terrible….
Terri Sanders, I don’t know this man either but thank you for your comment & I agree with you because I was just talking to my husband the other day how many people may get into trouble by accidentally downloading stuff.
I’m 50+ years old and never knew that TPS stood for that and frankly even if I did know I certainly wouldn’t have posted it so perverts would know where to go for these sick things.
Only 2 photos, this is unusual, usually there’s much more. Maybe someone discovered his secret and gave him a choice, either turn yourself in or they would.
Maybe he just needed food, clothes and shelter. This was safer than staging a bank robbery. Who knows? Or, maybe he needs psychological help and can’t afford it.
Rational I am definitely staying tuned because there has to be more to it then this maybe this guy is trying to punish his family/significant other by doing this. @Grand Locust wow you sure know a lot about the habits of pedophiles. As far as our government “shutting down” these sites you guys might not realize it but we don’t own the internet. You seem to think of it as a “public pool” with the “lifeguards” being our government. Really the internet is a vast “ocean” and the “lifeguards” have a vast nay an endless expanse to search and there really are not as many “lifeguards” as you might think.
I agree with fisherman. Hard to believe that our government is not able to crack down on the distributors of this disgusting filth. The same goes for Scammers – both internet and telephone scams. Put them away for good and it would get the message across.
There is something more to this story. Stayed tune.
The Federal Government should shut down all these web sites that publish this trash. They have the ability to do so. They need to also go after the ones that take these disgusting photos.
SOMETIMES. ..You can unknowing download child porn before you even know you have. These web sites don’t scream out PORN all of the time. Like who would know that TPS actually stood for teen porn site years ago…inquiring minds want to know what it is. You click on it and boom there you are. BTW I don’t even know this guy…
I really hope this man gets the help he is asking for. Please find it in your hearts to pray for him, and thank God that he had the guts to seek help. Think of all the children who might be safer now…
At least he knows he has a problem. Get the guy some help.
An unusual arrest, but it is encouraging that the perp realized he had a major problem. Attractions to children leave peds constantly waiting to pounce on opportunities as they usually work around children and often hide any hint of their issues until innocent children are hurt. I hope the man can get some help.
