Storms Pass, But Light Rain And Drizzle Hang Around

The threat of severe weather has passed in North Escambia, but there will still be some light rain or drizzle on and off during the afternoon. Temperatures will not rise very much this afternoon – just a chilly rain.

Morning storms left behind a few downed trees, including the one pictured above on Freedom Road. Also on Freedom Road, a reader captured the photo below of a piece of wood that struck a tree.

This Afternoon: A 40 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
