Catherine Estelle Kimmons Buckhault

Catherine Estelle Kimmons Buckhault, 83 of Century, FL, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her residence. She worked at Bratt Elemetery School as a janitor for over 22 years.  She was born in Frisco City, AL on November 20, 1935, to the late Russell and Allie Hanks Kimmons, Sr.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marvin Earl Kimmons, Sr., Russell Kimmons, Jr., Jerry Mack Kimmons; sister, Alice Faye Wilson; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hadway Kimmons; and great-grandson, Marcus Barwell, Jr.

Survivors include three daughters, Helen (Larry) Lassiter, Margaret Ann “Cricket” Kimmons, all of Atmore, AL and Connie (Ronnie) Whatley of Perdido, AL; one sister, Betty Jo Wilson of Flomaton, AL, eight grandchildren, Karen, Tina, Wendy, Blake, Jennifer, Kasey Kelli and Kimberly; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at 2 p.m. from Atmore Memorial Chapel with Sis. Kathy Stophel officiating.

Interment will follow in Bratt-Godwin Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Houston Westbrook, Tommy Kimmons, Leslie Barnes, Ricky Harrelson, Marion Cooper, Dale Levins, and Greg Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas McBride, Benny Kimmons, Buddy Kimmons, Kyle Atkins and Eliseo Choncoa.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home and Atmore Memorial Chapel are in charge of arrangements.

    so sorry to hear this..just read it and did not know anything about her passing until I read it here..Estelle used to work for me when we lived in Bratt and was an excellent house keeper and baby sitter for us..we grew to love her and all of her family..again to the family we are so sorry for your loss but rejoicing that Heaven received a new angel.love to all of you.

    Condolences to the family, I would have been there if I had been in town. Mrs. Kimmons was a Special Lady and friendly to all of the children while working at Bratt Elementary!
