A Century man was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill his sister with a machete.

The victim told the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office that she became involved with an argument with Samuel Donald Ewing, 69, over broken household items. He then went to his room in their house and retrieved a machete and made threats to kill her, an arrest report states. The victim and her sister were able to wrestle the machete away from him.

Ewing was charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He remained in the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $10,000.

Wow!!!! I personally know this man and his family treat him so terrible and try to kick him out of the house that was left to all the children…they treat him badly so before you talk about this now the facts. This man is the nicest man I have ever met in century and is a very good person we all do things to make people get away from us so for someone to grab something it’s out of fear!!!! they called the police on him because they were bothering him I’m sure he wasn’t trying to harm no one only if people knew how they treated this man you would understand. He has lived in that house when all the other people abandoned it he was the only one living there and his sister moved down here from out of town trying to take over the house when he is the one who has been living there it belongs to all the children so with that being said hopefully he beats this case praying for you!!! And I could care less what anyone has to say about what I said it’s the truth!!!

To echo a previous comment… Ma Barker with a thompson submachine gun tries to murder a baby in a dope deal gone bad gets 7500 bail and a poor guy gets his hedge clippers probably preparing to do some landscaping gets 10k bail???

cummone……..Who hasn’t thought about offing their sibling with a machete. I guess there is a difference between thinking about it and actually going and getting the machete.

Believe it or not there are decent people in century. The problem is the justice system keeps turning the bad elements loose back into the community. They get caught and know there will be no repercussions.

So the woman in today’s first story shoots at and robs someone and gets a $7,500 bond but the man in this story makes a threat and gets a $10,000 bond. That seems fair.
