@fed up: the HWY 29 and Nine Mile Road Project is night time only. The only people on that project during the day are inspectors and some crew who can work during the day without interfering with traffic.

That road will *always* be night work because of the amount of traffic it sees during the day – it being the only 4 lane thorough-fare going north south in escambia county. (that’s one of the county to the other. not the only north/south road – that’s a different thing.)

if you were to travel down there now and take a look at it, you’d see them all over the place under their lights. and being limited to a ten hour window each day when you have to set up traffic control, do 8 hours of work correctly, and then spend the last hour taking down traffic control… gonna take a while to get it all done.

Sure detour everyone thru a small side road (Beulah Church Rd). Makes more sense to just go straight down Rebel to Mobile Hwy.

Why does FDOT have to tear up every single major road in Pensacola at the same time? It’s ridiculous! If this was a large city like Atlanta, they would be done in less than 2 months. I hardly ever see anyone on the Hwy 29 project! The area in front of Walmart on 29 is like riding a roller coaster & tears up your car. Get it together FDOT! If you don’t have the manpower to finish one job at a time, don’t tear it up.
