Wreck Near Atmore Claims Two Lives

A father and son were killed in a single vehicle wreck on I-65 about three miles north of the Atmore exit Tuesday evening.
Conan L. Ivey, 42 and Nathan R. Ivey, 17, were passengers in a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe that ran off the road and hit a tree, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Troopers said Conan Ivey was pronounced deceased at the scene. Nathan Ivey was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital and later died from his injuries. Both are from Repton, AL, about 30 miles north of the accident location.
The driver, Elizabeth Ivey, 42, was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital. Her condition was not available.
Alabama State Troopers are continuing their investigation.

I do not know the specifics of this wreck and my prayers go out to the family.
To everyone else “Slow Down” There have been too many one car wrecks here lately. I can’t drive the speed limit anymore without someone getting on my bumper. People your not that important. Slow Down.
Nathan was an amazing friend and classmate to me. I pray his mother and older brother will be okay.
We were the first responders and saw the crash when it happened . It was horrible.
Mother went through surgey and is recovering as well as can be expected.
Almighty God bless their souls and make a place for them in your kingdom, Oh Lord place your loving embrace around the mom and wife give her comfort and healing…much sorrow on this earth everyday.
